MEET THE TEAM
Sam Schwartz, PE
Sam is the Founder & CEO of SSPTMS and is a registered professional engineer, and a recognized traffic and safety expert. While employed at NYCDOT earlier in his career, Sam supervised 3,000 Traffic Enforcement Agents. In 2008, Sam recognized the need for pedestrian safety managers in New York City and started a division in his company, Sam Schwartz Engineering. The division was removed from the engineering company in 2014 and formed as a corporation in the state of New York.
Jeff Trim, PE, PTOE
Jeff is the President of SSPTMS and is registered as a professional engineer and certified as a professional traffic operations engineer. Jeff has over 38 years of experience in the transportation consulting industry and has worked with Sam Schwartz and Carl Vitale since 2009. As President, Jeff is focused on the company’s growth, project performance and client satisfaction.
Carl Vitale
Carl is a Vice President and General Manager of SSPTMS and a former Sergeant in the New York City Police Department Traffic Division. He has over 40 years of experience in Pedestrian Traffic Management. Carl holds certifications in Pedestrian Traffic Management and Flagging Operations and is an ATSSA certified flagging instructor. Carl is also a certified Traffic Control Technician. As General Manager, Carl is responsible for all operations.
